Investigators from the Office of the National Prosecutor (OM) of the Netherlands have completed the first phase of their work in definitely determining the cause of the mid-aid explosion and crash of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 (MH17). Preliminary information leaked to the Dutch media has concluded that a Russian unit is responsible for the shootdown.

According to all of the evidence the JIT has reviewed, which has included more than one million documents, photos and videos, the conclusions to date are that the MH17 was downed by a Buk-M1-2 surface-to-air missile (SAM) launched from a Russian-owned battery that was most likely manned by a Russian crew.

The head of the prosecuting team then explained that central questions that the investigation is trying to answer are: first, who controlled the radar that provided the Buk battery with targeting information; second, who commanded the crew; and, lastly, who gave the order to fire?

это да, но там ничего не было по поводу Бук–М1–2 и прочих радостей про "выдать виновных".

значит это их инфа, может так решили исходя из инфы по вооружению 53-й бригады? Или у них есть информация по модернизации всех "Бук-М1" ВС РФ до "М1-2"

Даже если все модернизировали, то могли остаться списанные из ВС РФ (а на самом деле законсервированные для будущих гибридных войн), отжатые в Грузии и в Крыму, возвращенные по разным причинам странами-покупателями и т.д. Наиболее вероятно, что версия "М1-2" (если это не ошибка, случайная или намеренная) появилась, когда оказалось, что дальность пуска была километров 40. А "М2" исключили, например, потому, что там используется модернизированная 9М317А со стержневой БЧ. Хотя это просто мои предположения.

СОУ М1 и М1-2 внешне выглядят одинаково. А М2 по-другому.

А откуда это про другую дальность у Бук М1-2? Там ничего кроме совместимости с 9М317 и лазерного дальномера не припоминается. Другая дальность у ракеты 9М317 относительно 9М38

Да, дальность у "М1" была ограничена в основном возможностями ракеты. Вроде, у "М1-2" указывают дальность 45 км, у "М2" - 50 км.

Кстати, 9М317 простым переключением (введён для возможности снаряжения СОУ Бук М1-2 одновременно старыми и новыми ракетами) может быть переведена в режим совместимости и быть запущена со старой СОУ.
